Tin Cans Are Rattlin' On The Pavement, Confetti Scattered Everywhere

I got the fabulous opportunity to second shoot for Daisy Photography Studio at The Hickory Street Annex and The Stoneleigh Hotel.  It was a great wedding! The groom has a son and a daughter, the kids were too much fun!  You'll see the son showing me his ninja skills further down in the blog!

Because a blog is better with music, here is one of Lady Antebellum's new songs, Heart of the World. Love it! The lyrics are so sweet and gorgeous. I've been listening to it all day!

Holy Summer Batman!

Holy Summer Batman! The past few months have been an amazing blur! I spent some time in Louisiana and Houston with my fabulous and amazing family and extended family.  I drove across the country with my best friend to Pennsylvania and met some awesome people.  Some of my pretty amazing friends from Canada came down to visit as well. :) (Luckily they made it before the 115 degree weather!)

I've been so blessed to be apart of some amazing weddings this summer.  Here is just one photo from a first look from a wedding I second shoot for the fabulous Hannah Michele Photography just last weekend! :)

Just a Simple Little Life That I'm Head Over Heels For.

Me and an old friend were talking about responsibility today.  More specifically being responsible for one's happiness.

It got me thinking.

Today I'm happy.
No particular reason.
Nothing has really changed.
I have a roof over my head.
Family and friends that love me.
A business I'm watching grow.
And something to look forward to.

It is just a simple little life that I'm head over heels for.
And I know not everyday I'll be happy.
So today I'm going to celebrate.
Today I'm happy.

I believe the most empowering thing a person can do is take responsibility for one's happiness.
It is my job, and my job alone, to make sure I'm happy.
You take control of your life.
I'm thankful for having parents who taught me this at a young age.

Being a baseball girl, I was so excited to find out his dad also loves baseball and played it for many years!  So we got to include dad's old glove and ball in the shoot! :)

Confession.

So I have a confession.

I'm a business book junkie. It's kinda bad.

Half Price Books is my partner in crime. It is honestly one of my favorite stores!!

I'm reading Lovemarks right now, and I just love it!  This book is awesome! I highly recommend it to anyone running a business or in the advertising/ marketing fields.  

I've been looking for this book over year and when I found it at Half Price Books it made my day!!

I was seriously ready to do cartwheels!  Then I was like what 22 year old in their right mind would do cartwheels about a business book?!

Then I thought to myself, "One that has her own business!"

A Comic Book Store Engagement Shoot :)

So I met Lauren way back when during my first semester of college! Which was only like 4 years ago, but it seems like a "way back when"!  We were in intro photography together, lordy are there some memories there! 

Needless to say, when she emailed me awhile ago and told me she was getting married and wanted me to be her photographer, I was so excited and honored! :D She then told me she wanted to do her engagement photos in a comic book store!!! A comic book store!!! LOVE IT!!!! I was doing cartwheels I was so excited! And it didn't disappoint! What a fun shoot!

Lauren and Kendrick- I'm so excited about your wedding! You guys are amazing! Love yall!!
